World
Peace
It seems
only a dream today 04/-/05. Let me show you a letter that
I sent to a local editor a few months ago, to give you a brief
look at where Im coming from.
The letter
was never printed.
Back to
Iraq, are the orders for my Grandson and I dont like
it! The atrocities that are so commonplace around the world
today would not be my choice. It is our trusted leaders, both
Political and Religious that have brought us here where we
are today and we for allowing it because of the trust in our
heart. It is time to face some plain truths folks,
#1. There
is no humanitarian benefit or reason for war. I dont
think we have done ourselves or the Iraqi people any favors;
in fact most of them hate us for our efforts. Surely not for
the sake of our future do we send our children off into harms
way to kill or be killed, our children are our future.
#2 to
find answers, we must look for reasons. Why has this happened?
Why do so many people around the world hate us? If it were
only jealousy there would be some admiration. More likely
they see us as the bad guys. Because along with the democracy
and good will that we bring, the package also includes the
curse of OPEC, and the yielding of their oil over to a handful
of shameless businessmen! Long ago the USA yielded exclusive
rights of all imports and exports over to OPEC. The Energy
Policy denies the American People the right of freedom to
choose where we buy our oil and gas. Because oil is the foundation
of our economy, it also has allowed OPEC to extract our American
Dream. I would not vote for OPEC.
#3. We
must expose the my God is better than your God so that
makes me better than you, game! Come on folks, its
literally killing us! There is no Holy War, there is nothing
Holy about war! There is only one God but we human beings
will see Him or Her in as many different ways as there are
people around the world. For every human being on this earth,
there is a different image of God. And each has one main commonality,
each is the ONLY proper image and most others are WRONG! Doesnt
this say something? If your God condones the heinous atrocities
that are occurring around the world today, then you are bowing
to a false God of your own choosing! It is we Human beings
who are to blame and not God for our current and future events.
We simply have to grow up and face the truth; we cannot blame
nor use God as an excuse for our crimes against humanity,
period! If we are ever to achieve peace again we must learn
to be fair to each other, because it is greed that breeds
resentment and distrust. I believe God trusts us to see this
and work this out.
#4. We
must expose and deny the real agenda of a hand full of mega
greedy rich who are actually pulling the strings, and leading
this world to the brink of destruction! This one is easy folks,
just follow the money trail. Who is pumping the Iraq oil now?
Iraq with the worlds largest oil reserves was competition
for OPEC, because their black market oil, (a term
used for anything outside of OPEC control) only sells for
FIVE CENTS A GALLON TODAY! Hello
.
#5. The
answer is simply to convince our leaders to work for the good
of the people and change the Energy Policy to allow the Arab
world to compete on the open market with OPEC. The American
people will benefit from much lower fuel prices and a restored
economy and the rest of the world will see us once again as
the good guys and I can take my Grandson fishing.
I lived
through the fifties when the American Dream meant a working
man with an average job could support his family, afford a
new home, a brand new 57 Chevy convertible, and have money
left over on the weekend to go fishing. I know most folks
will find that hard to imagine right now, but it is just as
true as the fact that gas was less that thirty cents a gallon.
I know we can all say oh ya so what? The fact
is our economy is based totally on our income verses our costs.
And oil covers everything that we do in America. At every
turn there is an energy cost for every product and move we
make. When oil goes up all of our costs go up, but maybe not
our wages and our income. The working taxpayers trust our
leaders to protect us from this exact crime. Isnt it
called monopoly, when you fix prices, and collude, and cheat,
and lie, and take unfair advantage, and corruption when our
leaders are in on the oil shortage scam and watch as it strangles
our nation and half of the world, and they turn away obviously
afraid to even whisper about our energy policy? It is possible
that I am wrong, I wish I was, but Im afraid there are
a few trusted leaders out there who hold our fate in their
hands, and they are handing it over to some who have proven
their unimaginable selfish greed
